Dear Participants of ESPA Congress 2026,
On behalf of the Congress Organizers we would like to thank you for registering for the upcoming 16th European Congress for Paediatric Anaesthesiology, which will be held in Madrid, Spain, 24–26 September 2026.
As the Congress is drawing near, we would like to provide you with some important information.
CONGRESS VENUE
The Congress will take place in Hotel Meliá Avenida América.

Distance and Transport Connections
Madrid City Centre
The hotel is approximately 7–8 km from central Madrid (Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol).
By taxi: around 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic.
By public transport: approximately 20–30 minutes by metro or bus, with good connections to the city centre.
Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD)
The airport is located about 6–8 km from the hotel.
By taxi: approximately 10–15 minutes.
By public transport: around 25–35 minutes using bus or metro connections.
REGISTRATION
Registration desk will be placed in Hotel Meliá Avenida América, on the ground floor of the Congress area. Please follow the signs ESPA 2026.

On-site registration and issue of badges will take place at self-check-in stations. You will receive your personal QR code via email within next hour. The QR codes will be distributed from email address info@gcon.me.
Please save/print the QR code as you will need it to obtain your badge.
On-site registration step by step:
1. Scan your QR code at the check-in station.
2. If you have paid everything properly, your name badge will be printed out automatically. Lanyards are placed next to the station. Please take only one lanyard per badge.
3. If your registration is not complete, you will not be able to print the badge. In this case, please visit the registration desk.
Each participant is kindly requested to wear the name badge when attending the Congress.
Registration fee for delegates includes:
• Entrance to scientific sessions and exhibition

• Free entrance to the opening ceremony

If interested in signing up, please log in to your profile HERE (using the password which had been sent to your email upon submitting your personal data) and click the button Workshops in the forms' menu. The number of workshop participants is limited.

EVALUATION FORMS AND CERTIFICATES
For the Evaluation Form please download the mobile application ESPA 2026. You are kindly requested to fill out the on-line evaluation form available in the mobile application after the Congress. It is also a requirement of accreditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). Participants who submitted the evaluation form will receive the Certificate of Attendance via e-mail after the Congress.
The 16th European congress for Paediatric Anaesthesiology, Madrid, Spain 24/09/2026 - 26/09/2026, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
VIDEO RECORDINGS
All lectures and PowerPoints within Main Panel sessions will be video recorded. These records will be available to ESPA members on the member portal of the ESPA website after the congress.

Number of tickets is limited. Tickets can also be purchased at the registration desk.
We are delighted to invite you to an enjoyable evening at Meliá Avenida América, where dinner will take place in a space located right next to the evening poster session. The evening will be served as a flying buffet, offering a selection of delicious Spanish specialities, accompanied by music and a relaxed atmosphere.
OTHER INFORMATION
Language
The official language of the ESPA 2026 is English. Translation services will not be provided.
Refreshment
Coffee breaks between the sessions will be served within the exhibition area to all delegates wearing their name badge.
